Finished!

I mentioned yesterday that I have been working on my sister's deb jewellery this weekend and I'm very happy to report that it's finally finished!

Making this jewellery has been a rather long process...let's just say it started sometime last year! We looked at lots of jewellery, we talked about lots of jewellery and we finally worked out what she wanted - something nice, elegant, glamorous with pearls, rhinestones and a touch of red to set her apart from the crowd! Next there was lots of researching suppliers and supplies and lots more talking until we found exactly what she wanted. We settled on Swarovski crystals and pearls, fine silver chain and rhinestone components from Etsy sellers. Then of course there was more discussion what on what to buy, from where and how much to buy. Then the inevitable waiting that comes with online shopping some of which was from overseas. There was more discussion, lots of playing around with different designs, trying on, changing, trying on again, until we finally reached this point...here are the finished pieces:

Super long, super dangley earrings to make a statement, when paired with her halter-top deb dress (so no, necklace) and hair pinned up.

Beautiful 2 strand necklace with a gorgeous clasp, to add some colour to her satin gloves.

And finally a big, bold, red flower for her hair!

I can't wait to see her all dressed up and looking beautiful in her dress and jewellery!
